Manila Art

I’m drowning. That was what I said in my mind upon entering in the Exhibit. It was a magical experience for me, surrounded by a lot of magnificent artworks and talented artists. I felt like I was in the Cloud 9. I came there alone, at first I was conscious coming there alone for the reason that I was considering what other people might think that I am a loner but it turned out I was thankful that I was alone because artworks are enough to keep me accompanied. The feeling of I almost cry because of the amazing artworks around me. Definitely it would just be my first time until forever. It feels like my heart will burst because of joy. I am really thankful for this subject, Film Appreciation, for opening my eyes and heart to artworks. It made me appreciate the true beauty behind the superficial. It let my heart speak and to be my outlet in this cruel world. Artworks can be perceived in different manner, it is a matter of perspective. And I believe that beauty is the eyes of beholder, which can also be apply when seeing any platform of art. We may give different meaning in a particular art depending on our context and how we view life. Like a reading a film, interpretation may differ from one another but I think what more important is the connection between the audience and the artwork itself. How we see an art reflects our personality too, in that case it becomes a personal preference. Like the photos that I choose with this write-up reflects my internal thoughts and emotions. I may say, viewing an artwork is subjective. It shoots to your heart directly and can go beyond, it is like having an intimate attachment with a piece. It could also be a biased perception nevertheless; the keys are you have love and appreciation to the work. Truly, that was a magnificent experience to remember. I was drowning with that beauty. Positive vibes and possibilities that it had brought, hope and inspiration that it had offered, and an unforeseen attachment that it has gave.
